As the National Investigation Agency (NIA) begins its probe into the “terrorist attack” in Delhi, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered his nation’s condolences and support. The blast on Monday near the Red Fort claimed at least eight lives.
Netanyahu sent a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing “deepest condolences” from himself and his wife, Sara. “Israel stands strong with you in sorrow and in strength in this time,” the statement read.
The Israeli leader’s message was defiant, praising the “unyielding spirit” of both nations. “Terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls,” he declared. He called India and Israel “ancient civilisations” whose “light” will “outshine the darkness.”
The investigation was formally handed to the NIA by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The agency has registered a case and is probing a suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad module, according to top sources.
The NIA team, functioning under senior supervision, is coordinating with other security units to trace those responsible and “uncover the broader network involved” in the fatal explosion.
