In a move to bolster economic and diplomatic relations, Oman and Rwanda have entered into two key agreements alongside six memoranda of understanding (MoUs). These arrangements were formalized during the Rwandan President Paul Kagame’s official visit to the Omani city of Salalah. Among the signed agreements is one offering mutual visa exemptions for diplomatic, service, and special passport holders, while another seeks to eliminate the issue of double taxation.
The MoUs span a diverse array of sectors, including agriculture, logistics, land and dry-port development, supply chain services, investment promotion, and labor cooperation. Through these initiatives, both nations aim to create a robust framework that will facilitate increased trade and investment. This strategic partnership is anticipated to enhance business links and foster a conducive environment for economic growth between Oman and Rwanda.
